The Pervaiz's Story

Pervaiz Family story Canada .docx

Please prayerfully consider supporting the Pervaiz Family

Five years ago a G5 application was started to help the Pervaiz family come to Canada as refugees and sponsorship has been approved as of last year.  The Pervaiz family has applied for their visas and they will be able to leave Nepal once their visas are issued and their medicals approved.  That could happen in the next few days or in the next couple of weeks.  Once that happens the visas will only be good for a few months or possibly longer. The government of Nepal is requiring refugees to pay an overstay charge which is now looking like it will be $6 USD per person per day and this family will not be able to leave for Canada unless they pay the overstay penalty.  The Pervaiz family has "overstayed" a total of 2,525 days waiting for the paperwork to go through regarding their visas.  The amount of debt to date that has been accrued is $45,810 and therefore the goal to attain.  Hope Christian School has been supporting the Pervaiz's son Abi over these years by providing a high school education for free of charge, as well as providing for the family with a little fundraising and we are asking if you would prayerfully consider supporting Abi and his family in their quest to live in Alberta by joining us in raising money to cover their debt and get them to Canada. There are actually 3 fundraising initiatives being undertaken to raise these funds, 2 in Alberta and one in the US as follows:

1. GoFundMe page set up by Meghan Beck, who is part of the support group, advocating for the Pervaiz families admission to Canada. https://gofund.me/97d9c81d

2. Larger donations being eligible for a tax deductible receipt

The Shepherd's House Ministry

He also has a ministry in Nepal where he met Abi and has been very supportive of the efforts to bring the Pervaiz family to Alberta.
