HOME EDUCATION

Registration for the new school year of 2026 - 2027 is available!

If you are a new student to Hope Christian, please included Canadian Identification along with your registration form - this may include a Canadian Birth Certificate, an updated Canadian Passport, a Permanent Resident Card or a Canadian Certificate of Citizenship. Canadian Identification is essential for funding to be approved. If a Permanent Resident Card or Canadian Certificate of Citizenship is used - please also include your foreign birth certificate as well as parental citizenship documents.

Shared Responsibility Registration

This form is a Google Form and once you submit your form, it is received.

If you choose to do a Shared Responsibility Program, you will need to fill out three forms for Home Education , Online Program , Shared Responsibility

If you are doing a Home Education program at another school board, please fill out only two forms: Online Program and Shared Responsibility

Missed the Deadline?

If you wanted to register for a Home Education Program and missed the cutoff date, you have two options:

Find a private school who may be able to find accept your registration. More than likely, you will be charged tuition costs.
You can register in a Home Education Program directly with Alberta Education. You will need to fill out the form: "Notification Form for Home Education Program Not Supervised by a School Authority" and you will not have to pay a tuition fee, but you would be responsible for purchasing your own curriculum and you would not be assigned a Facilitator.
